T J McLaughlin is an award-winning author (the award was from his family, and it was a cake) from Wakefield, England. After spending his life being a fan of science fiction, mystery and adventure and spending several years in the army, he finally fulfilled an crazy idea of writing a novel.

He's the author of the paranormal fiction thriller series, Dark Maelstrom, that follows several military officers investigating strange goings on all over the world.

As well as his love of paranormal and science fiction, he's also got an interest in true crime and mystery stories. With several books in the pipeline that centre on inexperienced and rookie police officer John Atlas, coming soon.

He's also working on his forth novel, Blackdamp Part II, as well as a weekly podcast. A fictional murder mystery hunt, done in the style of a documentary.

He lives in Ossett, West Yorkshire, with his family. When he should be writing, but is being distracted from doing so, he enjoys playing music, indulging in old school sci-fi films ranging from the 1950s and 1980s, and has been known to pinch the odd baked good from his better half when she's not looking.
